The TIAA MRT New Taipei Industrial Park Station (A3) is located near the intersection of New Taipei Blvd. and Wugong Rd. in Xinzhuang District and the station building fits the category of "special building". In January 2015 subsequent to construction completion, the station was applied for Bronze level in the green building assessment. After documentation evaluation and onsite inspection by judges from the Taiwan Architecture & Building Center, the station was rewarded with the Bronze qualification label and certificate in May the same year.
The station building is a three-story steel reinforced concrete architecture. The green building assessment focused on four indexes: daily energy saving, interior environment, water resources and sewage improvement. Results of the assessment are listed as follows:
Daily Energy Saving Index: the building exterior energy saving index EEV=0.28, air conditioning index EAC=0.78 and lighting index EL=0.47. All of the values are lower than the reference value.
Interior Environment Index: the interior environment index takes account of sound, lighting, ventilation, architectural decorations and other eco-material data and the final calculated value IE=70.20 is higher than the reference value.
Water Resources Index: the water resources index is calculated based on water-saving devices and public hydrant equipment and the final value WI=3.00 is higher than the reference value.
Sewage Improvement Index: according to documentation evaluation, the general sewage treatment conforms to the sewage index. Additionally, based on local waste handling regulations and recycling indexes, the sewage improvement index was calculated Gi=10, higher than the reference value.
In summary, the final green building score of A3 Station is "29.82" which belonged to the Bronze level and all four main indexes conformed to the regulations listed in "Green Building Definition and Assessment Manual".
