On Nov. 24, 2015, MOTC implemented the onsite inspection on the TIAA MRT extension line regarding the 2015 MOTC Environmental Assessment. The inspection was led by Convener Hui-Ling Wu of the environmental task force with related personnel. The assessment conference was convened at the TIAA MRT Zhongli branch and then ensued at A22 Station and cross-over construction site to survey its environmental protection actions. Upon completion of the onsite inspection, the party returned to Zhongli branch for the evaluation meeting.
The construction project not only fulfilled environmental commitments and regulations, but also manifested the positive impact to the environment, including the below five aspects: energy-saving & carbon reduction, green building, green station sustainable environmental education and friedly neighborhood. Moreover, the construction crew took greening station to be the main achieving task on the road to build an environmental-friendly community. The inspection party was received by Deputy Chief Engineer Jao of BOHSR. The construction tender has not received any fine notification and has complied with all environmental provisions since groundbreaking. Moreover, the construction team has established fine relationship with the community throughout the construction period. The inspectors commended the team on the environmental-protection efforts of the project and the assessment came to a successfully end.
