上行線潛盾機從105年3月8日進場組裝， 4月4日組裝完成；下行線從3月29日進場組裝， 4月27日組裝完成，5月10日試運轉檢驗合格，並於5月20日完成鏡面二次破除並開始初期掘進。
The shield-tunnel engineering of TIAA MRT Extension Line CM01 Tender utilized the “earth pressure balanced shield-tunneling machine” manufactured by JTSC. The measurements of the machine are 6.25 meters in outer diameter, 13.765 in total length and 8.035 meters in main body length. The components of the machine includes the main body (divided into 6 parts: front, middle and back in both top and bottom portions), cutter disc (9 toothed cutters, 9 reinforced cutters, 5 roller cutters, 1 fishtail bit, 1 copy equipment and cutter disc drive head), propulsion devices (19 shielding jacks and hydraulic power pumps), articulation apparatus (12 articulation jacks) , non-axle coil transporter and gate, segment assembling machine, roundness detection device and the rear trolley.
According to engineering arrangements, the boring operations of the shield-tunnel will initiate from A22 to A21 Station thus the machine should be launched and assembled at the working shaft in A22 Station. The assembling operations will need to utilize large machinery and equipment where a 300-ton crane and a 45-ton crane are set at the surface and a 3-ton crane, multiple jacks for moving the shield-tunneling machine and other power units are utilized in the working shaft. The assembling procedures of the southbound shield-tunneling machine are detailed as attached figure. The assembling order of each component is outlined as follows: launching pedestal, lower half of middle and back portions, segment assembling machine, upper half of middle and back portions, roundness detection device, lower half of front portion, drive head, cutter disc, drive head motor, upper half of front portion, auger conveyor, assembly of front and middle portion, welding of the shield-tunneling machine and pipeline assembly. After assembly, the contractor needs to inform the construction branch to implement pre-operation tests such as main measurement checks and non-stress actuation test. Upon qualification of the pre-operation tests, boring operations may be initiated.
On Mar. 8, the northbound shield-tunneling machine initiated assembly and was completed on Apr. 4; the assembly of southbound shield-tunneling machine initiated on Mar. 29 and was completed on Apr. 29. The machines passed the pre-operation tests on May 10 and secondary ground treatment works were finished on May 20 followed with subsequent initial boring operations.
