The initial inspection was completed on Dec. 3 to 4, 2016. Initial inspection results included 12 improvement issues that needed to be improved before final inspection. The issues have been addressed by Dec. 15, 2016 and submitted to MOTC for final inspection. The final inspection was completed on Dec. 29 to 30, 2016. The inspection results included 8 improvement issues that needed to be improved before operation. Those issues needed to be improved before operation have been resolved by MRT Engineering Office and relevant construction units together with Taoyuan Metro and Taoyuan Airport Corp. on Jan. 20, 2017 and has been confirmed by final inspectors. On Jan. 25, MOTC approved of operation in accordance with the Mass Rapid Transit Law.
The 49 “general issues in initial inspection” and 36 “general issues in final inspection” MOTC has appointed BOHSR to be responsible for project management and improvement. Since Jan. 12, 2017, BOHSR held regular ad hoc meetings to review the relevant improvement issues. As of the end of March, 2017, 44 “general issues in initial inspection” including improving spacing between the tape alongside each side of the platform and signaling equipment adjustment and replacement operations have been resolved. As for the “general issues in final inspection” including cleaning operations of all stations and adding warning tape for floor height difference at the data stations, 31 issues have been resolved.
