In Jan. 2015, BOHSR signed a contract of superficies right with Cathay Life Insurance Corp. on the “ Commercial / Manufacturing Park Development Project of Lot.101 and 108 of the Xingaotie Section, HSR Taichung Station District”. In view of the strong demand for legitimate logistics & warehousing facilities and large international logistics bases in Central Taiwan, Cathay Life Insurance Corp. and its third party contractor, Ally Logistic Property Co. Ltd., planned the “Logistic Republic (Taichung) Park” that integrated office, R&D, testing, warehousing, retail, logistics and courier delivery functions to provide the central region with a resources sharing platform of local major industries under the concept of composite industrial building development. The Park held a grand opening ceremony on Oct. 31, 2017 to open a new era of station district development.
The project is a modern industrial building with seven floors and two floors underground, which breaks through the stereotype of traditional warehousing. It has become a new highlight in the HSR Taichung station district and has become a logistics industrial base under sharing economy. Currently, there is President Transnet Corp. and Kerry Pharma Logistics Center stationed in the Park. Stationed vendors can share the resources of public facilities and management software services. Integration of human resources, packaging, sharing of logistics and fleet bring about rich resources that can improve operational efficiency and reduce operating costs.
HSR Taichung Station has excellent traffic advantages. By HSR, the station can reach major cities in western Taiwan in less than an hour and can connect major cities in Asia within four hours while providing quick access to important international airports and seaports. In the face of global industrial structure changes, the rapid development of e-commerce led to the prosperity of logistics services industry, making the regional logistics supply chain highly valued internationally. Through cross-industry integration of logistics services, precision machinery, bicycles, aerospace, biotechnology and medical equipment industries in Taichung will not only support local development but will also lead to the development of the surrounding area, reaching an annual output value of 20 billion.
